1. Who these terms are between

These terms govern your participation in the VinoSwipe contributor programme. By creating a contributor account and agreeing at signup, you accept them. If you do not agree, do not contribute.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 21 years old. Contributor access is granted at our discretion and may be declined or withdrawn at any time.

3. Your content, and the licence you grant

You keep ownership of everything you submit. “Content” means the photographs you take, the prices and stores you record, and the tasting notes and ratings you leave.

By submitting Content, you grant VinoSwipe a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free, fully paid-up, perpetual, irrevocable, transferable and sublicensable licence to use, host, store, reproduce, modify, adapt, publish, translate, create derivative works from, distribute and display that Content, in any media now known or later developed, for any purpose connected with operating, improving, promoting or commercialising the VinoSwipe service, including training and evaluating recommendation systems.

This licence survives the closure of your account and the termination of these terms.

4. What you promise us

You confirm that: you personally took each photograph you submit; your Content does not infringe anyone’s intellectual property, privacy or publicity rights; no identifiable person appears in your photographs without their consent; and the prices you report are what you actually observed, at the store and on the date you report them.

That last point is not a formality. Invented prices corrupt the dataset, and we will remove contributions from anyone who submits them.

5. Closing your account

You may close your account at any time. When you do, we delete or de-identify your personal information. Content you submitted is retained in de-identified form — no longer associated with you or your account — under the licence above.

6. No payment

Contributions are voluntary. We do not pay for Content, and contributing creates no employment, partnership, agency or joint venture between us. Any benefit offered to contributors is discretionary and may change or end at any time.

7. Moderation

We may review, reject, edit or remove any Content at our discretion, and suspend or end contributor access, with or without notice. We are not obliged to review Content before it appears.

8. Wine labels and producer marks

Wine labels, brand names and producer marks shown in the service belong to their respective owners. VinoSwipe displays them to identify the products described and claims no affiliation with, or endorsement by, any producer.

9. No warranty

The service is provided as is. We do not warrant that wine information, prices or recommendations are accurate, complete or current. Nothing here is advice about what to buy or drink.

Please drink responsibly.

10. Changes to these terms

We record which version of these terms you agreed to and when. If they change materially, we will ask you to agree again rather than rely on a notice you might not see.
